RISING super middleweight star and former Haringey Police boxer Erick Ochieng needed only two rounds to stop Jon Harrison on Friday.

The 22-year-old from Stoke Newington landed a vicious left hook on the Plymouth fighter midway through the second round at the Brentwood Centre in Essex, to continue a storming start to his professional career.

Harrison tried all he could to stop the stylish Ochieng, but Ochieng was patient and worked away at Harrison's body before finally finishing him off.

"It was a good fight," said Ochieng, (pictured) "He kept on holding, but in the second round I caught him with a left hook, it was a quick left hook and he went down for the count and couldn't beat the count.

"I'm already back in the gym and training is going really well. I feel good and I'm in good shape."

Ochieng's next pro bout could be as soon as February 12. He is currently awaiting confirmation for the event at the Matchroom Sports-promoted event at York Hall in Bethnal Green.W
