Spurs finish line for record breaker Dan
Record breaker Dan Magness kicked his competition into touch with a 36-mile "keepy-uppy" challenge to Tottenham.
The football freestyler finished his record-breaking challenge at Tottenham Hotspur's White Hart Lane stadium. But he narrowly missed his chance to appear on the pitch at half-time during the Spurs versus Fulham evening game because of an hour-long detour.
The 26-year-old from Milton Keynes managed to keep a football in the air - using all parts of his body except his hands - for the gruelling 13-and-a-half hour journey from Fulham's Craven Cottage.
He said: "I'm really happy and really sore, so I'm enjoying a good few days of rest. It's more of a mental challenge than anything else because you've got to concentrate 100 per cent on the ball. Tottenham was a great place to finish - there were lots of people lining the streets and all the fans there were really supportive."
He had originally intended to complete a 30-mile course visiting every Premier League stadium in London - but the complex maze of diversions around the Olympic building site near West Ham caused him to take a wrong turn and he had to retrace his steps, adding another six miles to his feat.
"I had to make a massive detour so I was very annoyed, especially since we had recce'd the route. We had intended for me to arrive during half time at the Spurs game so I could go out on pitch but that didn't happen in the end.
"Still, I'm glad I got six more miles on my journey." He chose the route from Ful-ham to Tottenham, because the two London teams were playing each other at White Hart Lane. Despite not being a Spurs fan, he admitted they were "a good side".
Having already broken five football-related world records since 2008, he hopes to have reached 10 by the end of the year, with plans for a 24-hour ball control attempt.
